This weekend was the first Forge Dallas intensive. Brad Brisco (@bradbrisco_kc) and Lance Ford (@lanceford) came in to lead the weekend along with Ryan Hairston (@ryanhairston). We discussed the foundations, principles and practices of the missional church. I am still digesting all that we discussed this weekend but it was definitely enlightening and convicting.
One of the things we discussed this weekend was what it looks like to live in a missional rhythm. The below acrostic is a great weekly ‘rhythm’ to help us live a more missional-incarnational life.
B - Bless 3 different people ( 1 follower of Christ, 1 non-follower of Christ, and 1 either or)
E - Eat - Share 3 meals with people you are doing life with.
L - Listen to the Holy Spirit - Be sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Embrace interruptions.
L - Learn from the gospels - Be in the Word and take note of how Jesus did life
S - Sentness - Be aware of how God is sending you. Journal each day and ask these questions. How did I respond to Jesus today? How did I resist Jesus today?
